Vaccinations

Consultation Shepperton 79Vaccination has played a vital role in reducing the incidence and severity of many potentially fatal diseases in all species of animals. These diseases, however, are still present in the dog, cat, rabbit and ferret populations, which reinforces the importance to vaccinate. In recent years there have been many advances in vaccination protocols allowing us to individually tailor your pet’s vaccination requirements and prevent over-vaccination.

Our routine cat vaccination includes the following viruses

  • Calicivirus
  • Viral Rhinotracheitis
  • Panleucopaenia
  • Leukaemia Virus (FeLV)

PetSlimmer2010 025We can start your kitten’s vaccination course from 8 weeks of age with the second vaccination 3-4 weeks later. Do remember that even though your kitten will have a degree of protection from the first vaccination, this is not enough to allow your cat safely outside until a week after their second vaccination.

Annual booster vaccinations are required to maintain immunity.
