Beech House SignBeech House Veterinary Centre is looking for another VN to join the team at Beech House. Kylee is leaving us to join a great practice just that much nearer to her, especially since she is also getting married and therefore will be able to spend more time with her new husband and her dogs. We will miss her hugely and wish her well for the start of her new and very exciting life.

Hours: 40-hrs Monday to Friday with a 1 in 5 Weekends & On Call Rota. The Friday following your duty weekend is a rota'd Day Off
Responsibilities will include Nursing in all its various forms – Anaesthetic monitoring; scrubbed-in theatre & vet consultation assistance; Schedule-3 work when appropriate; in-house laboratory work; radiography; in-patient care and running a wide variety of Nurse Clinics, and of course promoting the Practice services and preventative health products. Reception Work is kept to a minimum due to the presence of our dedicated and friendly Receptionist team
Remuneration: Salary Package to £20 000, depending upon experience, plus bonuses. Accommodation may be available, if needed

You must be warm & friendly, caring and compassionate. Your communication skills - written and verbal, both on the telephone and in person – must be excellent since you will be dealing with a diverse customer base, from worried owners with sick pets to those just popping in to buy their petfood, flea and worm treatments. You must be confident in being able to give correct advice and be able to quickly develop a warm bond with our existing clients. You must be able to work very well within a large team, whilst also happy to work alone, using your initiative within the Practice's own high standards of quality and guidelines.

Beech House Veterinary Centre is a Training Practice, an RCVS Approved Tier 2 Small Animal Practice and an Investors in People business, with CPD seen as essential - funding all suitable training within reason and encouraging study towards a Diploma or other area of interest. The Practice closes 2-4pm on Wednesdays for staff meetings and training.
